Reporting A Crime To Bedfordshire Police

Hello residents,

Many people still are not sure how to report a crime, especially online. Raising awareness is key, and it helps ensure that incidents are properly documented and responded to. We understand that not everyone is comfortable using computers or online platforms, especially older residents or those without internet access.

Here are some ideas to help spread the word about how to report a crime to Bedfordshire Police and also without needing to go online:

Use the Bedfordshire Police Website

Visit: https://www.beds.police.uk

From the homepage, you can:

  • Report a crime (non-emergency)
  • Report a road traffic incident
  • Report anti-social behaviour
  • Give information anonymously
  • Request police support or advice
  • Look for the “Report” or “Contact us” section.

    2. Use the National Police Reporting Service

    Visit: https://www.police.uk

    This site allows you to:

  • Report crimes and incidents
  • Find your local police station
  • Access crime maps and statistics

  • 3. Use 101 Live Chat

Bedfordshire Police offers a 101 Live Chat service for non-emergency queries. You can access it via their website during operating hours.

    4. For Emergencies

If it’s an emergency (e.g., a crime in progress or immediate danger), always call 999.

    5. Social Media

    Bedfordshire Police are active on:

  • Facebook: facebook.com/bedspolice – North Bedfordshire Rural Community Policing
  • Twitter/X: twitter.com/bedspolice
  • You can follow Bedfordshire Police for updates, but do not use social media to report crimes.

Thank you for all your support.
